The Paleontology of Chris Wildrick Is Overrated: Fooling the Future, performed for SPACES in Cleveland, OH, 2002, poster designed and printed 2002
As part of Chris' attempt to become a self-taught paleontologist, he instigated a community project in Cleveland where he and several middle school students buried plaster casts of a robot arm Chris designed. These casts were impregnated with calcium and other minerals common to the human body, so that when they dissolved, the minerals that leached into the soil would mimic human body chemistry. The space they left in the ground, however, would look robotic, thereby seemingly being created by a robot with human body chemistry, thereby fooling (and confounding) any future paleontologists who happened upon them.
