Eponymous, performed 2005-2006, installed at Cedarhurst Center for the Arts, 2007
For one year, Chris bought a t-shirt from every place he went that sold t-shirts
with the name of that place on it. He collected a total of 79 eponymous t-shirts,
which celebrate locations ranging from the Carbondale Public Library to the
state of Iowa to the Liberace Museum to the Alamo. These shirts were then presented
in a store-like display in the Mitchell Museum at the Cedarhurst Center for
the Arts and re-sold for their original price. This display also included a
catalog with images of all the shirts and statistics on their collection. The
remaining shirts will soon be sold on eBay.
